Turner Family ~ January 2014

We first had the privilege of photographing this family last year when their adorable son turned 1! It was a combination cake smashing and bubble bath cleanup, and still holds up as one of the most adorably fun sessions we've done to date. (We'd love to do more if anyone is interested!). So when we got the call that they were expecting their second bundle of joy in December, we were so thrilled they asked us to document his precious beginnings!!

This whole family is so full of joy, and love, which just happen to be two of our favorite things to photograph! We hope you enjoy, and get some warm fuzzies that will prepare you for the upcoming warm fuzzy weather coming to the DC area this week!

Skodacek Family ~ December 2013

One of the things we enjoy most about the photography business is the incredible people we get to meet, like the Skodacek family. They were such a joy to work with: laid back, funny, kind, and photogenic (even the cat)! The husbands chatted about their mutual love of The Walking Dead, while we girls talked about all the amazing creative details gracing the beautiful nursery (like the R2D2 diaper sculpture - so impressive!).

And all four of us were absolutely smitten with the precious little girl who was the center of it all. Her sweet demeanor, pinch-worthy cheeks, and precious little hands and feet kept us all saying "awww" pretty much all afternoon.

We had a great time getting to know this wonderful family and can't wait to see them again soon!

Welcome Baby Baker ~ December 2013

Hanging out with this beautiful family renewed the meaning of "Kindred Spirits" for us; we have so much in common and could have stayed and chatted all day long. It was the kind of meeting that reminded us that we're never alone. This couple was going through some of the same challenges Greg and I have experienced recently, which enabled us to connect deeply and share empathy, two important practices we're trying to cultivate more regularly.

We feel so blessed and thankful for the experience of capturing the quiet love and little moments for this wonderful family. Oh yeah, and it doesn't hurt that they're so darn good looking. Enjoy!

We couldn't forget these guys - they're part of the family too!
